We started Gift4Employees because we believed corporate gifting could be better than branded mugs and generic gift cards.

From frustration to a platform

Gift4Employees started in 2022 when two people who had spent years in employee experience decided the gifting part of recognition was broken.

The problem

Maya Patel spent five years at Bonusly watching companies invest in recognition programs but struggle with the tangible part: actually getting a meaningful gift to an employee on time. The tools were clunky, the options were generic, and international shipping was a nightmare.

The partnership

She connected with Jason Park, an operations specialist who had built logistics systems for direct-to-consumer brands. Together, they saw an opportunity: combine curated gifting with the kind of automation and reliability that HR teams actually need.

The platform

They launched Gift4Employees from Wicker Park, Chicago, with a simple thesis: every employee gift should feel like it was chosen by someone who knows them. Three years later, 850+ companies trust the platform to handle recognition at scale.
