When we launched Gift4Employees in 2022, we shipped gifts to U.S. addresses only. That was fine for a while. But as our customer base grew, so did a consistent request: "We have people in London. And Berlin. And Singapore. Can you help?"
Today, we are releasing Gift4Employees 2.0. It is the biggest update we have shipped, and it addresses the two things our customers asked for most: global shipping and occasion-based automation.
Global shipping to 30+ countries
We partnered with fulfillment centers on four continents to make international gifting as straightforward as domestic. Here is what that means in practice:
- Gifts ship from the nearest warehouse to the recipient, reducing delivery times and carbon footprint
- Customs, duties, and import paperwork are handled entirely by us
- Flat-rate international shipping of $12 per package, regardless of destination
- Gift collections are curated regionally, so recipients in Tokyo get gifts that make sense for Tokyo
This was the hardest engineering and logistics challenge we have tackled so far. Getting a beautifully packaged gift from a warehouse in the Netherlands to an employee in Amsterdam in two days is one thing. Making that same experience consistent for 30+ countries required rethinking most of our supply chain.
Occasion automation
The second major feature in 2.0 is automated gifting by occasion. Connect your HRIS (we support BambooHR, Workday, Rippling, Gusto, and ADP), and the platform will automatically trigger gifts for:
- Birthdays
- Work anniversaries (1-year, 3-year, 5-year, and custom milestones)
- Onboarding (first day or first week)
- Custom dates you define
You set the collection, the budget, and the note template once. The platform handles scheduling, address verification, and delivery. You get a weekly digest summarizing what shipped and what is coming up.
Redesigned dashboard
We rebuilt the team dashboard from scratch. The new version gives HR teams a single view of:
- Total spend by department, occasion, and time period
- Delivery status across all active shipments
- Upcoming occasions for the next 30, 60, or 90 days
- Employee satisfaction scores from post-delivery surveys
Everything is exportable. If your finance team needs a quarterly report, it takes one click.
